WHAT SETS HIM APART: " In this age of information technology, the simple art of communicating with the patient too often seen to have been lost," Dr. Baker says. "It is my philosophy that each patient should be heard no matter how long it takes. Every patient has a story to tell, and I believe it is the responsibility of the physician to listen and talk to each and every patient. Patients seek compassion and understanding from the physician, and that is what I have dedicated my practice to for over 25 years."
GREATEST PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT: He has been married for 27 years and has helped raise two wonderful daughters. Dr. Baker is also listed as a member of "Leading Physicians of the World"
OFF HOURS: Dr. Baker is a collector of fine art and a jazz music connoisseur. He collects antiques and rare cognacs and enjoys the outdoor world, especially bass fishing.
Dr. Baker obtained his Medical Doctorate at the University of Florida. He completed his fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans. He obtained a BS degree in biology at Florida A&M University. Dr. Baker is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist.He was recommended for and accepted into the prestigious Musser-Burch Honor Society during his fellowship at Tulane University. He served 10 years a Chief of Gastroenterology at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Hel also served as managing partner at the largest gastroenterology group in Orlando for two years. He is now the proud CEO of his own private practice. Dr. Baker is involved in a number of charities and organizations to which he devotes time and contributions.
