I am so grateful to have met Dr. Wohns. My back pain was excruciating & progressively worsening, I had to use a walker to get out of bed in the mornings, my activities were extremely limited. I met with Dr. Wohns who took all the time I needed to get my questions answered. He was extremely thorough with my preop workup before discussing my diagnoses & surgery with me. I was only in the hospital one night & had a very successful fast recovery. I am now pain free. Rarely even need Ibuprofen. I am so very grateful for Dr. Wohn's knowledge & expertise. I am back to enjoying life. Thank you Dr. Wohns & Kyle & the entire St. Francis staff!

It's not Dr Whons, it's his company. Worst administration, billing, customer service I've ever experienced. Nick, nurse manager is aggressive and rude. D'Ann in billing doesn't follow up. I've delt with them for years, but no more. Run to another doctor office!

South Sound Neurosurgery, or Neospine as it's now known, is a great clinic. I was in bad shape when I was sent to them via a friend's recommendation. First off, the staff was incredibly nice. They were able to answer all of my questions regarding my upcoming office visit, and were happy to do so. I received fantastic care. I've been in & out of Orthopedic/Spinal surgeons' offices over the last 6 years and have never dealt with a team so on point. These guys handled every question I threw at them about any option I'd ever heard of, which was quite a few, and by the date of my operation I had no doubt that I was both in good hands, and that the procedure being done was my best option. I have nothing but good things to say about this office, the doctors, and their staff. My quality of life has continuously improved since I first became a patient at Neospine / SSN. If you are having back, neck or spine issues, don't bother going anywhere else.

My first appointment reassured me that they really do want to help me with my chronic pain. The genuinely care and that makes me feel great. I have been to other places and they have done nothing or made things worse. I am so excited for the future with NeoSpine and working towards being pain free. I highly recommended!

Thanks for taking such great care of my husband! He had a really tough cervical surgery and beginning to end everyone at Neospine was great. Office folks were friendly and helpful, lots of checks and balances along the way and the staff obviously know what they are doing and work as a team. We are so lucky to have this excellent practice so close to home in Puyallup.

I first saw Dr Wohn after a horrible misdiagnosis from Good Samaritan Hospital. What was diagnosed as a muscle spasm, actually was a herniated cervical disc which was pressing on a nerve causing horrible neck & arm pain. I had tried every non surgical option including injections, massage therapy twice a week, water therapy, acupuncture, & numerous medications for muscle spasms & pain. My primary care doctor told me for months I needed surgery, but I had went under the knife too many times before & was petrified. But when my head was basically resting on my chest, & my arm pain became overwhelming I decided to follow my Drs advice. He told me if it was him or a family member, the only neurosurgeon he would refer them to was Dr Wohn. He performed a cervical disc replacement & to say I owe him my life is not an understatement. I was in complete agony prior to surgery, & after the procedure I was able to get out of bed the following day & unload the dishwasher! The pain was completely

I was in car accident and it made my life stop due to cervical injury. Dr Richard Wohns performed surgery to remove 2 discs and replace them. The staff is amazing and Dr Wohns has given me hope for a recovery that will allow me to enjoy the active life I had before the accident. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Wohns and the Neospine center. If you have had issues related to spine injury go see them. You have nothing to lose and possibly get your life back!

I am so grateful because I feel like I got my husband back. Brian was in a car accident where he slowly blew the L4 and L5 fluid out of his discs over the 2 years. For those 2 years, he was in so much back pain, that we had gone to 17 different doctors 3 hospitals and no one could figure out the problem. As a last hope, our family doctor referred us to Dr Wohns. We brought our MRI's to the appt and about dropped to the floor when he said I know exactly what is wrong... after a very difficult test, we had surgery approx 4 weeks later, L4, L5 Fusion. There was about 4-6 weeks of true recovery before he had all abilities back. He was able to return to work full time, and slowly pick up activities again. To date, he has not had any problems since the surgery. Thank you Dr Wohns for changing our lives. I am forever grateful for the part you played in getting the health of my husband back to normal!

Not sure if Dr. Wohns is a great Dr surgeon because I cannot get his office staff to follow thru and get approval from Aetna. To the insurance's credit they appear to be doing all they can to resolve the issue and reaching out to his office but no one from his office seems to want to follow thru. I guess they have all the business they can handle so no need to fight for those who cannot sail thru the insurance approval issues. Military moving us and I will unfortunately need to start over in ano

Dr. Wohns performed an artificial disk surgery on me, and I am now able to do all sorts of athletic activities that were impossible before! I'm hiking, running, biking, and I couldn't be happier. I heavily researched all the Neurosurgeons on the West Coast, and no one was more highly recommended than Dr. Richard Wohns. I am incredibly picky, naturally, about such a incredibly weighty decision, but I couldn't have been happier. If you need a neurosurgeon, than Dr. Wohns is the absolute best.

When Brian was 29 he was in a car accident & slowly lost the L4 & L5 fluid out of his discs. He had tremendous back pain. We saw 17 doctors & no one could figure it out. The doctors put him on drugs, but that was no life. When walking the rubbing bones caused intense pain. Finally we were referred to Dr. Wohns. Brian had surgery, an L4/L5 Fusion. After 6 weeks he returned to work full time. He has not had any problems since the surgery. Thank you Dr. Wohns. I am forever grateful!
