The office of Dr. Richard Tucker provides each patient with the individualized attention they want and deserve. Dr. Tucker's philosophy is one in which he aims to treat the whole patient, not just their symptoms. Our office is committed to delivering compassionate, quality healthcare to women. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of gynecologic care to all of our patients in a caring, friendly, and compassionate manner. From your initial exam though the menopause years and beyond, we treat all healthcare issues relating to the female reproductive system and other associated symptoms. Biography Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Tucker grew up in Cheltenham, PA. He attended Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. He received a BA in Biology from La Salle College and his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Tucker completed a rotating internship and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecologic Surgery at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, NJ with specialty training at Pennsylvania Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Tucker entered private practice in 1979. Dr. Tucker is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecologic Surgery. He was awarded the title of Distinguished Fellow of The American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Tucker studied at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, currently plays trombone in the Cardinal Dougherty Alumni Band and is a vocal soloist. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandson. Educational Affiliations Dr. Tucker is Past President of the American College of Osteopathic OB/GYN. He serves as the site coordinator for the Drexel University Residency program at Virtua Memorial Hospital. Dr. Tucker is the Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rowan University/School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Tucker is part of the Volunteer Faculty for the Family Practice Residency Program at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Burlington County. He served as the Program Director at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine- Allegheny University/Rancocas Hospital for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency from 1996-2000. Dr. Tucker was certified in 2000 by the National Certification Corporation as a Certified Menopausal Clinician. He also is the founding president of the Medical Education Foundation of the American College of Osteopathic OB/GYN and was a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
