The glowing reviews on here must be fake. I met with this guy in Stage 3 kidney failure and he literally did a test (I had just come out of the hospital so they had flushed my kidneys), said my GFR was okay so there was nothing wrong and sent me away. I wound up in the hospital a week later. This is not a competent or caring doctor, and yet the reviews above are glowing. Same Zebra Different Stripes?

He saved my mother's life. She can speak to his nurse immediately whenever she has symptoms and he responds with med changes within 24 hours. He spends 30 minutes with us during office visits. He is a great listener and explains her condition in great detail. Love him.

I'm Very Angry At The Care He Has Given My Brother . My Brother Has Been Going Through Renal Failure For Over Two Years Now !!! Dr. Does Not Keep Up With His Care Through Dialysis. Every Other Week He's in The Hospital... Because His Hemoglobin and his other Levels Drop Day By Day !! My Brother Knows And Questions All The Time About Seeing What His Levels Are And Fighting For No Answers From US Renal And Through The Doctor!! WHY ? I Don't Understand WHY Anyone Should have to Live Like This !! Like Going Through His Sickness Isn't Enough !!! Why ...Were Waisting Money Going In And Out Of The Hospital... When It Can Be Prevented By Regular Testing And Paying Attention To His Levels !! On Top Of That ...All He's Trying To Do Is Live Out Whatever Life He Has Left !! So My God ...Why Should Anyone Have To Go Through All These Problems on top Of What He's Already Going Through ? This Makes Me Infuriated With Dr Steinecker. I Wouldn't Recommend Him Or US Renal Care Either. Sad !!!!!

I was told I was in early renal failure, but no big deal. Wound up in the hospital less than a week later. Called and asked them to please contact the emergency at Buff Gen to coordinate care. No call, to me or the hospital. Thereafter, even though kidney function declined, they told me it was fine, because the test was normal after the hospital pumped me through of fluids due to severe dehydration. No inquiry into the ups and downs which are making me very ill. Dangerous. Go elsewhere.
