Dr. Snyder II's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Snyder II "Raised in Dallas Dr. Snyder attended Jesuit College Prepatory. He developed an interest in medicine while working as an anesthesia technician in the OR at Medical City during his high school and college summers. Dr Snyder joined HeartPlace in 1996, opening the office at Medical City that same year. Although an interventionalist, he prides himself on being, first and foremost, a preventative specialist, emphasizing the prevention of disease primarily through risk factor modification, especially through diet and exercise. He is particularly involved in medical advocacy. Being an advocate for our patients must be much more than just words. We as physicians will have almost as much impact on the health care our patients receive in the legislative chambers as we have in the exam room. As clinicians we treat one patient at a time, but as physician advocates, we can help everyone all at once. In his spare time, he and his wife Dr. Shelley Hall, M.D, also a cardiologist with HeartPlace, enjoy spending time with their five children. IF you MUST see a cardiologist - HE IS THE ONE TO SEE! The BEST WAY TO FIND AN EXCELLENT DOCTOR is - in the hospital in which the doctor practices, go to the nursing station on the cardiac floor, ask to speak to the CHARGE NURSE. Tell her your problem. Ask for a doctor she/he would go to. You most probably will receive a couple names. Dr. Snyder was #1 on all 3 of my lists! He fulfilled my greatest expectations and more. He spends time with you - a rarity today! He listens to you!
