I went to Dr. Scarlett with a small rotator cuff tear. He immediately recommended surgery. My research and experiences of friends with that surgery indicated it offered at best mixed results. I opted for physical therapy, which gave me complete resolution in a few weeks. On another occasion, when I became concerned about painful arthritic hip and muscular pain, I called and requested a phone call to essentially voice my concerns and get reassurance from him prior to our scheduled examination. He was about to leave on vacation and essentially brushed me off. When I arrived for our appointment, he kept me waiting 45 minutes, at which point I walked out. Nice guy, but if you need someone who is not going to make surgery a first choice and who will be a caring physician who will be there for you when you need him, not your man. Definitely not mine.

I was very pleased with my initial meeting with Dr. Scarlett. He took the time necessary to discuss my issue and then proceeded to analyze and treat the problem. He was extremely courteous, personable, and professional at the same time. I look forward to my follow-up visit in four weeks. I would highly recommend his service, without question.

I saw Dr Scarlett due to excruciating knee pain. He quickly diagnosed a torn Meniscus. The next morning his office calked with an MRI and appt to get the results. He scheduled surgery the same week ss I received my results. Dr Scarlett is very experienced and he listens to his patient’s concerns. He also has a great personality and takes time to explain everything. I am so happy I chose him!! Each appt I only waited between 5-10 mins to be seen.

I have seen Dr. Scarlett in New Britain for years. He performed my rotator cuff surgery and my results have been excellent with scars that are barely noticeable. He has a wonderful demeanor and I thoroughly trust him with my care. I will need a knee replacement soon and he will be my surgeon for that as well. I highly recommend him.

Great, compared to the Dr I was seeing before I decided to get a second opinion. Dr. Scarlett explained everything to me. He didn't talk about himself and his accomplishments which was all I heard from the former physicians. I would recommend him to anyone I know for knee surgery.
