This content was provided by Dr. Meyrat "Dr. Richard Meyrat is a founding member and a senior partner of the Methodist Moody Brain and Spine Institute. He serves as the director of stroke and neurosurgery at Methodist Hospital in Mansfield and has been instrumental in developing its cranial and spinal surgical programs, as well as the stroke and trauma program. He has been affiliated with the Methodist Health System since 2007 and practices at Methodist Mansfield, Methodist Dallas, Methodist Charlton, Methodist Addison, and Preston Hollow. Dr. Meyrat specializes in both cranial and spinal surgery. His training consists of both neuro-spine and ortho-spine surgery, allowing him to offer balanced surgical solutions, thus optimizing long-term outcomes for his patients. Keeping abreast with the latest technology and surgical techniques in both cranial and spinal surgery is an essential part of his practice. He is involved in implant designs in both the cervical and lumbar spine and specializes in minimally invasive technology. Dr. Richard Meyrat went to medical school at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. He completed his general surgery internship at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago followed by neurosurgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He also spent significant time at MD Anderson advancing his skills in cancer surgery of the brain and spine. Upon completion of his neurosurgery training, Dr. Meyrat went to Bordeaux, France where he completed a one-year orthopedic spine fellowship with special emphasis on minimally invasive spine surgery and sagittal balance (study of posture). He travels extensively throughout Europe and North America to remain current with the latest surgical techniques and theories."

Dr. bedside manner is great, but don't have anything else to do on appt days. First appt he was 30 minutes late and this appt was at 11:00 and I am still waiting at 11:50!
