Dr. Richard Meyer is the very BEST! I am a physician and after researching the various options for my wife who needed total hip replacement surgery.....one name kept coming up on top - Dr. Richard Meyer. He specializes in the anterior approach - (which he teaches other orthopedists about) - and has many years of experience using this technique. My wife had surgery (3 months ago) at Touro - which has an amazing hip and spine surgery program. She got the very best team approach to her care at Touro. She felt like she was in a boutique/private hospital that was super clean and followed all the Covid precautions. The same day of surgery, she was walking and going up stairs. Now she is has been getting around very well, riding her bike and is ready to start back playing tennis. Dr. Meyer's office folks are super helpful and have made this an amazingly successful medical experience. My wife has her life back and we couldn't be more thankful to Dr. Meyer, his staff, and Touro.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this brilliant surgeon and his pre- and post-operative care. I had a total hip replacement in December 2014, and recently had some pain which alarmed me. I saw him today, nearly five years after my procedure, and x-rays on both hips revealed no problems at all! I was very relieved. Not only is Dr. Meyer a fine physician, he is a kind, earnest, and gentle soul. He really changed my life.

Dr Richard Meyer came highly recommended for my total hip replacement. I am 2 weeks post op, snd just had my follow up. My experience has been excellent thus far. Recovery has been better than expected, and my experience at the Crescent City Surgical Center was STELLAR! This is, unfortunately, the 10th surgery I’ve had in my lifetime so I believe I am an expert critic when it comes to surgery centers, doctors, doctors’ offices and surgery outcomes. I would recommend Dr. Meyer 1000+ times!!

I had knee replacement surgery with Dr. Meyer late February 2018. I had wonderful outcomes and was very impressed by the quality of the entire procedure. Dr Meyer keeps up with the latest research and the pre- surgery, surgery, and post surgery experience included training careful explanations/care on safety, exercise, and infection prevention. I noticed that many patients of his were from both in-town & out of town and returning patients.

I had a Total Knee Replacement with Dr Meyer and couldn't be happier with the results. Within 5-6 weeks I was back on my feet and selling cars! Just sorry I waited so long in so much pain before moving forward.

Dr. Meyer has replaced both of my knees and left hip. He is going to replace right hip in Sept. He is a great Doctor as I have not felt better in my life. My daughter has a appt. with him in a couple of weeks, and I would highly recommend him to anybody. I was in hospital one day and went home the next day for all three operations.

I highly recommend Dr Meyer. His office is conveniently located, clean and well organized. His staff are friendly and efficient. Appointments times are kept closely. Wait times in office are short. Dr Meyer has a pleasant, calm, professional manner. He never seems rushed and takes the time to listen to the patient and explain his plan.

Excellent caring treatment, with incredible results. Recovery from my total knee replacement has been remarkable. I regret not having it done earlier. I highly recommend Dr. Meyer. It's said that he is the best "knee man" in town and I agree.

My 78 year old mother had a knee replacement and ended up with a supporting muscle completely severed. Her knee gave out several times following the surgery and she ended up breaking her ankle on one spill. The Dr. Meyer could have cared less. Fast forward to 1 year later. A new Dr. and a 2 hour surgery to fix what Dr. Meyer messed up. I'm not sure what is worse. The botched surgery or the lack of any empathy post op. I would warn anyone to avoid.

I had a knee replacement in September. My surgery and recovery could not have been any better. Dr. Meyer is great and his staff at Touro was wonderful. My recovery was easy. Today, I can walk with our knowing that I have knees. Before the surgery, I was in pain every day. I know that I will need surgery on my right knee and when it is necessary, I will not hesitate to go to Dr. Meyer. Because of his knowledge and skill, I am able to do all the things I enjoyed doing without pain.

I would highly recommend Dr.Meyer. He performed a total knee replacement on February 2, 2016 and the next day I was walking (with assistance). The total recovery time for me has been less than 3 weeks. His staff met with us on two occasions before surgery to answer questions and explain the entire procedure. Dr. Meyer also met with us immediately prior to surgery. The procedure is painful, but Dr Meyer provides sufficient pain medication. (Pre-rehab and post-rehab are mandatory.)

I was told by many doctors that Dr. Meyers was the best in NOLA for hip replacement surgery. I was amazed at how easy the recovery has been from the anterior approach surgery. He is very personable and interested in his patients. I highly recommend him.
