Dr. Mackessy is an excellent surgeon who truly is concerned with his patient's condition and well being. I have had several surgeries for various conditions with Dr. Mackessy. The result of each surgery has been the elimation of the pain and the problem. I would never contemplate going to anyone else for an orthopaedic problem. His office, support staff and surgical staff are excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Mackessy and the Union County Orthopaedic Group.

In my eyes Dr Mackessy is the best. On the other hand his office manager is a piece of work. The office staff is and are very nice.I had a situation with her about my insurance they dropped me in the middle of being treated like a hot potato. But its ok. Because i will be back with the nj family care they take. After all this Dr Mackessy is still the best.

He pushes people for surgery when its not necessary. Even if one of your limbs are broken in half, he would recommend that you return to work so that you cannot get workers comp benefits. He has no compassion for others. Please refuse to go to him if you get injured on the job. He will commission you back to work unless you do surgery. Its either surgery or work, nothing in between.
