Thinking about the service I received, and living in Manhattan I concurred with many here who were disappointed with Dr.Lee as he communicated poorly ,he seemingly and needlessly rushes into surgery ,and does a poor job of following you up.So as there are so many excellent urologists in Manhattan find someone other than Dr.Lee either at Cornell or uptown at Columbia or one of the other excellent medical facilities in Manhattan and you will be better off not using Dr.Lee

I appreciate very much his precise, thinking, caring approach to his work. I was drawn to his aggressive (I mean that in a good way) analysis and problem solving approach. I felt that he wanted to take care of my issue. I have told numbers of people that that is what I appreciate about him. He is practical in his assessment and advice. he dug deeper to see what is going on with me. My friends and family were impressed when I said that he called me within a few hours/definitely within the day that I emailed him with enquiries. They said that is unusual. Please relay my appreciation to his very professional and helpful desk staff and the wonderful nurse, I am so glad that he does his work so well. I’m grateful for what he did.

Doesn't listen, poor judgement, not good diagnostician, rough skills, poor communication, reschedules appointments, treatment for prostate cancer involved handing three biographies of other physicians who treat cancer by different methodologies: told to call if I had questions which were always poorly answered. Left to pursue treatment alone and without support from this urologist.

Dr Lee rushed surgery as many here have advised, and he did a horrible job.I strongly recommend as a Manhattan resident myself that you find a great urologist, many others are at Cornell as I found or can be found in Castle Connolly which lists the top Dr.'s.Avoid Dr Lee!

Excellent. Just had my follow up to surgery Dr Lee performed in Oct.2019. Everything is great but I feel it necessary to mention that I had prostate issues for many years and wore a catheter for 7 months, three of which were after an unsuccessful procedure done by a local urologist. In my despair I went to Dr Lee upon a friends recommendation. After some tests Dr Lee quickly diagnosed the problem and I scheduled the surgery. Three days later I was catheter-free and have been ever since. I am not embellishing when I say Dr Lee restored my freedom. A heartfelt Thank you to Dr. Lee and his assistant, Tatiana.

I'm an 86 year old male that after surving two cancers, prostate and recital the radiation caused a great deal of damage. The resulted in my seeing a number of urologists over the years and a great number of artificial Sphincter surgeries. I have had some pretty bad experiences from some not so good Doctors until I met Dr. Lee. He ranks in the top four doctors that I have had dealings with in my life time. Dr. Omar Barzideh, Dr. Dean Pappas, Dr. Marvin Sussman and of course Dr. Richard Lee. That is not to say that I have not had some good doctors, but the aforementioned ones are outstanding in every way.

I had my issue for many years. No one helped me as Dr. Lee did. He resolved my longstanding issue within a month after performing some tests and scheduling me for surgery. I am 100% satisfied and will recommend him to friends and family members. Very professional and straight forward. Outstanding doctor and professor.

Dr Lee is a wonderful person, doctor and surgeon. I feel very lucky to have found him in the midst of a serious bladder issue. His staff - which I always believe reflects the character of its leader - is totally professional. The surgery too, was excellent and the overnight stay at the hospital was flawless. I know this is a strong recommendation but believe me, he and everyone at Weill Cornell, earned it.

NJ I have not found a communication problem. But then I studied the literature on the AMS 800 extensively. This made a discussion very productive and a joint decision possible.

I would strongly recommend that you seek at least a second opinion for anything Dr.Lee recommends ,and certainly in our Manhattan there are so many excellent urologists to choose from,my own experience with Dr.Lee was quite negative as you will also read in prior reviews.
