Dr. Hostin and the staff at Children's Hospital were amazing. Could not have asked for better results for my daughters surgery. She is completely pain free and back to her normal self in just three months.
in Rowlett, TX |
Awful visit! Don't waste your time. He just wants to place blame somewhere else. Since I am not over weight he said my back pain was cuz I am getting old! I am 35! Also he said I need to see a urologist it's cuz of my ostomy! My physical therapist said I need an MRI of my SI joint that's why I was there. A huge waste of time. He didn't even want to talk to me just my husband. Very upset! Can't stop crying about it. Don't go see him!
Irving, TX |
Dr. Hostin did not do anything for me that my general practitioner hasn't already done. Just said to come back in a few months for a follow up. Very disappointing considering I waited for over a month for my appointment.
in Frisco, TX |
Seemed like a nice guy but didn't do anything for me my GP hasn't already done yet he's a specialist. I saw him for severe back pain. All he did was take an X-Ray, said I need to lose weight, start a pre-packaged meal plan, and workout. I took the NSAID he prescribed and tried working out like he said but its making the pain worse. I now have pain shooting from my lower back to my knees. I am very frustrated. I don't feel like I was taken seriously by him.
in Dallas, TX |
I saw Dr. Hostin for severe low back pain. He said xray was fine & immediately talked about weight, nutrisystem & said I'll need bariatric surgery by my mid-30s if I keep gaining weight (I'm barely over 200 lbs). Didn't bother asking why I had gained weight in recent years (no longer athlete, had children). Completely dismissed my level of pain & didn't seem to realize I had already been diagnosed w/ scoliosis. I left his office upset, frustrated and in tears. Cost me $200 to be told I was fat.
in Athens, TX. |
I highly recommend Dr. Hostin for any type of scoliosis surgery. I am 61 years old and had revision surgery on my lower spine six months ok with an excellent outcome. I am now pain free and can stand straight again.
in Carrollton, TX |
Came in with a herniated disc in l5 s1 , had several appointments and finally referred me over to a pain doctor to have an epidural steroid injection. After this procedure offered me 0 relief, I called back in and he is unavailable, then he is on vacation for two weeks. She could not explain or allow me to talk to Dr. Hostin about the next steps to remedy the pain. Seems like they just want the appointment money from my insurance along with my copay.
Plano, Tx |
I saw Dr. Hostin for lumbar pain due to herniated discs. I've had a double curve since age 11 that has progressed over time. Dr. Hostin had a dismissive attitude towards me and told me my pain was due to being overweight. My weight went up of course as a result of being in pain. When my pain started I was skinny! He also never bothered to get X-rays of my upper curve. I left his office frustrated, hurting and in tears. He may be a specialist in his field but his attitude is terrible.
in Joshua, TX |
Dr Hostin is doing his best to help me feel better and to get a complete diagnosis. I'm scared of surgery but feel Much better knowing how good Dr Hostin is.
in Frisco, TX |
Absolutely amazing doctor. He took a chance on me as a patience with terrible spine history and he saved my life. Anyone with scoliosis should see Dr. Hostin. He called me after surgery while on a business trip to see how I was doing while I was in the hospital. He is an absolutely amazing doctor who deeply cares about his patients.
