This content was provided by Dr. Dennis I was in the Air Force as a flight surgeon and was exposed to a lot of ophthalmology when I was a younger doctor. And instead of going into internal medicine, which I had planned, I switched and went into ophthalmology because of the lasers and high tech equipment. And it's only gotten better. With the advent of computers, the Internet, sharing data, there's been an explosion of information in our field. And virtually every year our technology has gotten better. We have advances in treating tumors and things like that, that weren't there, chemotherapy, even antiviral therapy for eye infections that has changed quite a bit in the last 10 years. I still think about - every day - how lucky I am to be able to do what I do. I like helping people. I like teaching, and every day I'm able to do those kinds of things.
