The most important factor that you control with respect to having a successful outcome after plastic surgery is the surgeon you select. It is important for you to know about the qualifications and experience of your plastic surgeon.
After graduating high school he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. Before attending medical school he was an orderly at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, where he discovered his passion for surgery. Dr. Brown then moved to Chicago where he earned his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School. While there, he was president of the Student Surgical Society. He then completed his General Surgery residency at Northwestern University in Chicago.
While at Northwestern, Dr. Brown joined Dr. Thomas Mustoe's lab and spent one year dedicated to wound healing and scar research. During that year, he wrote and published papers in one of the top Plastic Surgery journals, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He then graduated and became certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. Finally, Dr. Brown completed his residency training in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha. Plastic Surgeon in Phoenix Dr. Richard Joseph Brown was proud to begin his practice in the specialty of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after 12 years of training. He is double board certified in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. He is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where many of his family members still reside. Dr Brown's goal is to treat every patient with respect and admiration as if they were a member of his family. He always strives to be self-critical of his work so that at the end of the day, he can say he did his best. He is passionate about this commitment.
