I had a health scare and was referred to VA Surgery Assoc. Upon calling for an appointment and explaining the issue, I was paired with Dr . Brenner. The office scheduled me for a consult for three days later. They subsequently had a cancellation and called back to get me in within 2 days. On the day of consult, I was in the exam room within 15 minutes. Dr. Brenner is very personable and approachable. He took the time to answer the many many questions that my husband and I had. He also didn’t make me feel silly for all of the anxiety I was feeling over the possibilities. After the consult, I was scheduled for surgery that would happen early the next week. The procedure itself went swimmingly. I had no hiccups from check-in to check-out at the hospital. Recovery had been exactly as described. The results came back late on a Friday afternoon after Doc had left for vacation. He called me anyway to give the results and much needed mental relief!

I was scheduled to have my gallbladder out and called because I had pain on the other side of my back. I had numbness in my face for a couple months. They made me go to my regular doctor again for an EKG and for the numbness even though that was something I was seen for a couple times. So my regular doctor cleared me and said that I should get a CT scan of my head and said it could wait until after surgery. I already scheduled all the time off from work at a job I just started.

Everyone took extra time to ensure all questions where answer. They went above & beyond my expectation. Dr. Brenner is extremely knowledgeable and has outstanding bed-side manner. He even came to the hospital on his day off to see how I was doing. Was fully recovered 4 weeks after surgery.
