My wife has had three joint replacements by Dr. Biama: a hip, knee, and shoulder over the past few years. I, myself, have consulted with him regarding knee problems. We have been thoroughly pleased with him. We totally respect and trust him regarding his skills, knowledge, and advice. He studies our records before an appointment, quickly gets to the point, gives competent, respectful advice, and answers questions to your satisfaction. We cannot recommend Dr. Biama more highly!

Dr. BIAMA does not listen to the patient and does nothing for pain management. I was discharged from the hospital with a pain score of 10 yet he wouldn’t change my ineffective medication. I would definitely NOT recommend using him as your surgeon.

I understand why Dr B has all 1s and 5s. He is a bit abrasive and arrogant and stand-off-ish BUT he gives it to you straight, tells you what you have to hear, and is a great surgeon. It looks the 5s are from people who actually got surgery from him. Add me to that list....

If you want a surgeon that is going to make you feel good by holding your hand and coddling you, he is not your guy. But if you want a surgeon that is one of the best at his profession, he is the man you want. He replaced my hip 4 years ago and it is the best hip I ever had. I expect he will be replacing my other hip next year, I don't want it done by anyone else.

I’m a 77yr wife of retired Navy man and have seen military and civilian Doctors for various medical conditions. In all those years I have never met a terrible Dr. like this one. Mr. Biama was rude and abrupt to me when I asked questions about knee surgery Example: upon showing him the list of medications I am taking for high blood pressure and diabetes, the Doctor wrote yes and no beside each one with no explanation-then handed it back to me. He didn’t want to schedule rehab post surgery either!

Very unprofessional, inconsiderate doctor. I would not recommend Dr. Biama to anyone under any circumstances. There is little to no communication from this doctor. I had a surgery scheduled with this doctor that he chose not to show up for. His reason for his unprofessional actions was that he wanted to spend the day with his son rather than to fulfill his professional obligations (my pre-scheduled surgery). He wasted my time as well as my insurance carrier's money.

WORST DOCTOR EVER!!! I wish this had negative stars! He is the most unprofessional, discriminative and rude orthopedist and I encourage everybody to go somewhere else but here. Showed up 4 hours late to my mothers appointment (literally!!!), had a derogatory attitude as soon as she told him that she needed an English/Spanish interpreter and denied to examine her and order further tests to help diagnose her problem. Filing complaints with the appropriate parties right away!!!

Dr. Biama is one of the most amazing doctors I have been a patient to. Dr. Biama is direct, decisive, puts the my health and well being first above anything. My adult children are at my appointments when I see Dr. Biama and are so glad that I am in his care. My adult children have recommended Dr. Biama to anyone with ortho needs. Dr Biama answers any questions they have and takes the time to explain his thought process in his treatment.

Dr. Biama's expertise in orthopedics is beyond compare. He is an honest surgeon and prefers to get straight to the point. I feel Dr. Biama's straight forward approach is needed to get the message a crossed to patients who need their medical problems resolved. Unlike most, "sugar coating" is not the approach needed when your health is at risk! Dr. Biama goes beyond his specialty. I have witnessed surgeons calling upon him to do the impossible in regards to orthopedic "disasters".

He has done more than one surgery for me. He is hands down the best out there. If there is a best outcome possible, you will get it from him. I spoke with other medical staff in the ER, and they told me that the one qualified to handle the severity of my injury was Dr. Biama. We were able to discuss financial difficulties and he made sure we were able to see him. We were able to laugh and cry, literally, with him. I would choose him every time! Every time.

Dr. Biama is wonderful. He's a brilliant surgeon and cares about his patients. I've been a patient of his for almost 10 years and had 6 surgeries done by Dr. Biama. He's one of the smartest doctors I've ever met and very up to date on medical technology. I have a very difficult medical history and Dr. BIama always takes the time to make sure I'm on the best track. I am confident that Dr. Biama is the best in his field.
