Bilateral knee replacements
As a physical therapist I so appreciate the ability to have had two minimally invasive knee replacements 11 weeks apart. I have worked with many patients that have had conventional replacements, so when my rehab was so accelerated I was thrilled. Of course the expectation was that I would follow the instructions I was given and participate in rehab to the best of my ability. At five weeks I was able to walk 1.5 miles on uneven surfaces at the dog park with negligible pain. I am so grateful for Dr. Berger and his team. It is definitely a well run office which allowed me access whenever it was needed. They are knowledgeable, accessible and respond in a very timely manner. Each member seems to have a keen awareness of their roles and the success seems to be due to using the talents and abilities of the individuals. In addition, the data collected has certainly advanced best practice. I am so grateful and would highly recommend.

Ridiculous customer service and policies
My visit was fine but problems arose with my fmla . They dont do any intermittent fmla because my operation didn't happen till later. I've had x-rays and scripts that fall under treatment previously. They explained the reasoning behind not filling prior intermittent leave due to my not being treated .... until surgery date. Apparently prescriptions and x-rays aren't treatment. Bottom line is they were adversarial about my care. They could not be bothered to help with intermittent fmla. There are times I hurt and can't walk so having an fmla day to take helps. They didn't want to do it.... period . Didn't care.. Nurses were narcissistic constantly talking over you to explain how they dont care.

Outstanding
Amazing experience. Dr Berger and his staff leave no stone left. I have my left knee replaced on May 18th and seven weeks later I had my right knee replaced. Recovery time was awesome, I went hiking in the Smokey mountains during week 4 of my surgery. Everything went well so I quickly arranged to have the other knee done.

Excellent, World-class care
Dr. Berger’s staff are all very organized, patient-centered, delightful, proactive, making pre-, same-day, and post-operative care simply the best. Dr. Berger’s pioneering methods, e.g. minimally invasive procedure, make for a very fast recover with excellent pain management. He’s simply the best.

Fabulous experience start to finish
I had two partial knee replacements 6 weeks apart and was able to get back to activities I live such as hiking, tennis and golf. The entire experiences with Dr Berger and his team has been stress free. The team is attentive and Dr Berger listens, cares and gave me confidence from start to finish. I had one set back with a fractured patella 2 years afterwards and everything held up well and Dr Berger was there to support me . Highly recommended!

Bad knee replacement
Had a knee replacement 2 1/2 years ago. This resulted in permanent nerve damage, chronic pain and swelling. Dr Berger kept telling me this is normal - which it is NOT. His only advice was to take more pain pills. He did not accept any responsibility for the poor outcome. My leg is also longer after the replacement which is now causing hip pain on the other side. Be aware that if you have any complications after surgery, Dr Berger will not want to deal with you.

He gave me my quality of life back.
I had zero cartilage on my hip joint and I needed a hip replacement. The pain was unbearable. I did my research and was impressed with how Dr Berger does his minimally invasive hip replacement. I watched it on YouTube and saw how he doesn't cut any muscle, ligament or tendon. His staff worked all of the insurance clearances and did most of the work. During the surgery he got rid of all the arthritis and bone spurs as well. Afterwards he personally called my family to let them know how the operation went and came by later to check on me. His staff had me walk around and go up and down stairs the same day. His office closely coordinated with the physical therapist to ensure my recovery was a success. Two weeks out and I'm feeling great. The arthritis is gone and I have a better quality of life than I had before. Keep in mind success is a team effort and you will have to do your part but his team makes it much easier than all the other doctors that I researched.

The best thing I’ve ever done for myself
Dr Berger is super cheerful, upbeat snd professional. He has an awesome team around him to make hip replacement surgery as trouble free as possible. The team is always available if there are any issues. After surgery I felt better than I have in three years. Pain all gone! Walking and doing stairs that same say! No one can believe it that Dr Berger does outpatient minimally invasive hip replacement. I am SO grateful and I couldn’t be more pleased. Ecstatic, actually.

Dr. Berger and staff are the best.
As a solo practitioner, I didn't want to take 2 months off at best for conventional knee replacement. I was back at my desk in 3 weeks after my right knee replacement in May, 2022. I would travel cross country as a patient if I had to. Dr. Paul Veld

Knee Replacement
Red carpet treatment, excellent communication - a positive experience overall. One suggestion would be to see more of Dr. Berger in person, particularly just before the procedure - feels a little like Oz working behind the curtain. It would also put the patient at ease. The staff was amazing and responded quickly to questions. Couldn’t ask for a better surgical experience!

Double hip replacement
Had both hips replaced within 4 months of each other. 1st one , worse one went fantastic so couldn’t wait to get the second one done. Always had concerns on how my leg length would be handled? And was told don’t worry it’s all done by laser . Well I did worry and to this day one leg is shorter and I walk uneven! Was told that I could come back and replace the uneven hip but now the femur would need to be cut and wired back together and a much longer rehab would be involved! Hmm . No thanks! So my review is 50/50! Should have stopped after the first one. Sorry but true words
