Dr Sloan is a good physical medicine doctor I took his advice and had my neck surgery. I had it at a place he would be extremely happy with i would love the opportunity to start over with Dr Sloan with Humana insurance I would like to show my gratitude by volunteer for six months at resurgens under the care of Dr Sloan. I will recommend my massage clients to him and be more prepared to have a life long relationship for medical reasons only I am proud I got to know Dr Sloan and want to change

My first experience with Dr Sloan was great. The second time ok. The 3rd injection was horrible. The staff was all joking, the pain was horrible. I asked him to wait for the meds to work before he began. He said," I can be done before I can get you numb, just BREATH through it!" I felt EVERY push of the needle into my spine & was in horrible pain. There was no stopping him. I guess his schedule was full or the needle was empty. I will never use him again. A friend said he experienced the same.

He was very thorough, addressed all my questions, laid out a plan for me for recovery, overall positive experience given the situation. I've noticed a few reviews stating he is "apathetic" ....he is a doctor.. he is not your therapist. I did however have to wait a while before I actually saw him.

I had an epidural steroid injection with Dr Sloan yesterday. He was very thorough in explaining things & open to questions. I could tell he had discussed my case with Dr Dopson my primary provider, in order to plan my injection. Even though I was a stat add on, due to excruciating pain that had sent me to the ER the night before, I felt like he gave appropriate time to me & my case. He also had better technique than the physician that did my prior epidural, it was much less painful.

Waited 1 hour & was told by Sloan's staff since I was his last patient he will take his time..NOT! Dr Sloan did not listen to me, had to remind him to pls look at my MRI disk so he can explain it to me. Did not give eye contact, did not shake my hand nor did he listen to what I had to say. As soon as he came in the room he stated that he is going to put me on a steroid. Asked him if he can explain c1, c2, c4, cf & t1. He seemed bothered. Have an appt 2morow w/another provider will give an update

My experience was not the best with this doctor. When I shared my physical issues with him, he seemed apathetic and cold. He pretty much acted as if my pain was all in my head. He also didn't bother to order any tests or X-rays on me, which was baffling to me. Felt like I was on an assembly line when I saw him. Was so glad when my visit was over!

Dr. Sloan is a very good doctor but the staff at Resurgens is awlful. Resurgen's staff never follows up on the patient's needs. It appears that you just get lost in the shuffle of an extremely large practice.
