This content was provided by Dr. Walls "Dr Raymond Walls is a Board Certified Orthopaedic surgeon with specialist Fellowship training in Foot and Ankle surgery. He has received extensive training throughout Europe and the United States and is expert in minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques and adjunctive therapies including PRP and Stem cell augmentation. Understanding the problem is central in a consultation with Dr Walls and he will ensure patients fully appreciate their diagnosis and all treatment options when determining appropriate management. Conditions in which Dr Walls provides comprehensive care include bunions and hammer toe problems, neuromas, complex flatfoot and post-traumatic deformities, sports injuries including ankle instability, turf toe and osteochondral lesions, and severe lower limb trauma such as Calcaneus, Talus, Ankle Pilon and Lisfranc fractures. He is one of only a few Orthopaedic surgeons in the North East who can perform total ankle replacement surgery. A former World Champion Irish dancer and lead dancer in Riverdance, Dr Walls specializes in the treatment of dancers and athletes. His experiences afford him a personal understanding of the psyche of the elite performer. Dr Walls' aim for all athletes is to get them back performing at the highest possible level as soon as possible and will work closely with their therapists in patient-centered care to ensure success. Dr Walls is an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine and is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He treats patients throughout Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. With over 40 national and international publications and presentations, Dr Walls is considered a leading academic surgeon in foot and ankle surgery. He is closely involved in the resident education program sitting on both the Resident Selection Committee and Clinical Competency Committees for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale School of Medicine. Dr Walls is an active member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS)."

I was treated for a Achilles tendonosis by Dr. Walls. He was professional, attentive and extremely knowledgeable of my injury. Dr. Walls is the real deal, I went to him after an ankle sprain wouldn't heal for 6 months, and he spent time and detail looking at my foot, and ultimately recommended a cortisone injection (delivered under X-ray himself) which fully resolved my injury.
