Dr. Pensy was a part of my team of doctors handling my recovery from cancer surgery. He suggested a serial cast but never monitored the degree of angle thus 2 straight weeks the same angle was used. He oversaw my wound care after a failed skin graft and suggested nothing except daily bandage changes. I opted to use hyperbaric oxygen of which he adamantly opposed. I found Dr. Pensy very difficult to work with as his fragile ego was mostly focused on his anti HBO crusade. I do not recommend.

Dr. Pensy performed my scaphoid fracture surgery and ever since then I’ve been very thankful to have had that surgery done by a professional like him. By far one of the best hand surgeons in the DMV area

I had surgery to repair a fracture and correct carpal tunnel. Dr. Pensy was responsive, listened carefully and was a very skillful surgeon. The clinic that you go to for follow up after surgery is hard to locate. The later your appointment, the longer you will sit.

I would highly recommend Dr Pensy to anyone needing traumatic orthopedic expertise, especially involving the hands. I have experienced a violent attack that amputated my thumb and sliced through every single tendon in my hand; my torso was cut front to back; He operated on me all night long and put my hand back together; I was using my hand again within 6 months of the brutal attack! I have since moved 3 hours away from Bmore, but traveling back to see him is well worth it!
