I have never had anyone show me that they empathize with the struggle I have dealt with my whole Life in regards to enjoying the foods everyone enjoys that I can’t. To hear and understand the plan of care that Dr Zarnegar devised was a huge bonus for me to trust him with something this important to me.

I drove 2.5 hours each way to be seen for my post-op appointment, thinking I was going to have my gastric pacemaker adjusted, only to find out when I got there, that they did not even have the machine in the office. I was told that the machine was in the OR, and they couldn't obtain it until after 5 pm. I was also told by the surgeon that he didn't typically adjust pacemakers. I was also told that they usually wait 3 months to adjust, even though it had almost been 3 months. In addition to that, the surgeon did not even look at my pacemaker incision, so what exactly was the point of me being there? The NP said that the schedulers probably didn't know I was there for a pacemaker adjustment, but that is pretty poor communication in my humble opinion.

Dr. Zarnegar was nice but only met him in person right before the surgery due to COVID, and had a two minute follow up in recovery. Scheduling team was on point but everyone else was not. Follow up post surgery was and continues to be a disappointment. Was scheduled for a follow up and waited over an hour and a half and was then told Dr. Zarnegar wasn’t even there anymore, saw a nurse instead. Had residual pain and concerns and called but it was never addressed by him, just his team. Trying to just get a call back from was difficult and then during a five minute phone call to address my concerns it was rushed and I was treated like an inconvience to them. Very disappointed overall.
