My first encounter with Dr. Bottner was in 2000 when a heart episode put me into Hilton Head Medical Center. Dr. Bottner performed angioplasty, installing a stent, most successfully as far as I can judge. I had no further heart problems until 2016, when I required another stent, that time performed by his associate, Dr. Jay Kahlen (sp?). Most recently, I found myself in need of even more extensive heart care and Dr. Bottner fixed my atrial fibrillation and cleaned out my right ventricular artery which was full of plaque. I cannot praise Dr. Bottner and his associates enough, including also another associate of his and my cardiologist, John Sharp, MD. These are physicians of the highest competence and dedication.

Dr. Bottner is extremely professional and I would must definitely recommend him to my friends. He conducts an extensive examination; explains his findings & observations so the patient fully understands his health status. Dr. Bottner seeks to understand his patient in a variety of contexts, such as exercise routine, patient lifestyle, diet, medications, etc. Test results are interrupted and fully explained so that a strategy can be formulated accompanied by action steps & follow up evaluation.

Dr. Bottner has been my cardiologist for twenty years. He inserted a heart stent which was necessary after suffering a heart attack during ruptured aneurism surgery in May of 2002. He has followed my heart health annually since that time. He is knowledgeable, answers questions concisely, and can be counted on for timely attention to my health needs. I highly recommend this dedicated physician to those in need of cardiology services.
