This content was provided by Dr. Peyton "Dr. Randall S. Peyton has been practicing orthopaedics in the Northern Virginia area since 1995. Dedicated to delivering quality care, Dr. Peyton is President and CEO of Arthritis & Sports, which he founded in January 1998. A native of Roanoke, Virginia, Dr. Peyton's medical career began at the Medical College of Virginia where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He then served his residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he later acted as Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his fellowship training in adult reconstruction and total joint replacement surgery at the prestigious Rothman Institute of the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Peyton has performed thousands of knee and hip replacements. In addition to his work at Arthritis & Sports Orthopaedics & Physical Therapy, Dr. Peyton is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedics Surgeons (AAOS) and belongs to several professional organizations including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). As the most common cause of disability in the U.S., Dr. Peyton passionately believes in fighting arthritis and finding a cure. For six years, Arthritis & Sports Orthopaedics & Physical Therapy has proudly sponsored The Loudoun County Arthritis Walk. Dr. Peyton has been a Medical Ambassador for over six years and was named Medical Honorary Chair in 2009. Dr. Peyton is a frequent presenter at surgeon education courses throughout the country, teaching other orthopaedic surgeons from around the world his approaches to hip replacements and ACL repairs. These courses address relevant concepts and techniques that comprise the foundation for the development of new and more complex surgical skills. "

Rude office staff. Dr. Peyton claims flat feet are happy feet. That is baloney. Took three hours for one x ray!!

Peyton is, by far, the most arrogant, self-serving, mean-spirited physician I have ever met. He has the bedside manner of a badger and acts likes he is resentful of the time he has to waste with his patients. He is more concerned about liability than health and well-being. I need hip replacement...more

This office is a thief. They give you inaccurate information. They tell you something is covered and in fact is not. Be very careful you don't fall into their trap. Don't rely on them and make sure you double check all the information they give you.

Yes you may have to wait past your appointment time but once there Dr Peyton always takes his time to explain and answer questions. He is always welcoming and yet to the point which is something I value. Follow up is with Edwin who is very capable. If you must see the main dr every time then this...more
