Excellent job repairing my hip in 2009 after a cycling accident, still on the bike 8 years later

My mother was in a car accident with a drunk driver and was injured with over 10 days in ICU and several blood transfusion. Her left leg was shattered and at the beginning they talked about amputating her leg. She saw Dr. Lais he was professional, realistic and extremly good at what he did. I was with my mother every appointment and we were always impressed by him. 3 years later my mother is walking without a walker, without a cane, drives herself and works out at a gym! He is truly a miracle.

I was directed by the er to follow up with an orthopedic doctor after dislocating my elbow and Dr. Lais is the one they recommended, so I went to see him. He removed my sling after two weeks and i redislocated my elbow. He only went by my X-rays, never did a ct scan or mri and so even though I had much more extensive damage, he missed it. He admitted to me that he used bad judgement and then sent me off to an elbow specialist. His incompetency cost me six weeks of my life. Stay away!

Breaking my right wrist, in a freak accident was the WORST thing ever being that I am right handed. I was extremely nervous and scared because this was my very first surgery in life. I didn't know what to expect or how everything would turn out but Dr. Lais seemed very confident that he could fix me. I was terrified of having surgery, but he and his wonderful staff convinced me it was the best option. He did such a marvelous job, I forget surgery was even Done! He is brilliant!!
