Dr. Ashour's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Ashour "During medical school, I was repeatedly humbled by the resilience of patients with neurological disease. I felt neurological patients tended to face some of the most difficult situations in medicine, and they stood to lose a lot without excellent treatment. I recognized and wanted to share in the great privilege of constantly battling to prevent death, enhance quality of life, alleviate pain, improve mobility, and preserve higher brain function in these patients. The sense of direct impact and the enormous responsibility of neurosurgical intervention all captured my innermost passions. "
