IMPOSSIBLE to get an emergency appointment. One of the hardest offices to get an appointment in my opinion. You can call and tell them you literally can't open your eye and they will tell you to wait a while for an appointment. I had to start seeing another eye doctor just because of this reason. When you have an emergency, you are taken in other doctors offices. Not this one. I've spoken to others who have the same issue with this office. And forget it if you want an appointment after 5.
I am sorry that your experience making an appointment was difficult. We train our call center personnel on proper emergency eye protocol. I would like to speak to you further to understand what transpired during your phone call, it would give me great insight to how I can improve our patient's experience. Thank you, Tracey Lombardi- Director of Operations - 718-370-2222

I was told I needed cataract surgery and I had to do it with a "Laser". This meant I had to pay and extra couple of thousand dollars to have my cataract surgery done. I always thought that my insurance would have covered the surgery so I went for a second opinion. Not only did I NOT need to have surgery ( I just needed to change my glasses prescription) , I also learned that Laser cataract surgery in optional! I was never given a choice by Dr Mostafavi. He is a rip off artist and a con man.

I am one of those people who is very anxious about any eye procedure or surgery and I must confess I was a wreck after watching a montage of eye images and surgery videos for while sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hours. My procedure was canceled without warning the day of and the office staff very inconsiderate. My final disappointment was not receiving my medical records and results in a timely fashion, I called several times and finally had to pick them up after 20 days.
