Tried very hard to get him to help me with gi bleeding. After a normal endoscopy at Ahuja, they sent me home bleeding. Went back to dr Abbass and tried desperately to get him to help me. No other gi doctor in the uh system would even see me. I had to go to metro who diagnosed me with MALS and fibrosis and atrophy of my entire intestine. I believe I have the atrophy and fibrosis because my issue went on for months while dr Abbass and his team ignored my complaints.

Will not recommend him! Poor bedside manner! After trying to explain the severity of my stomach pain, he only offered medications. I tried to ask some questions regarding my pain and he seemed agitated and short with every answer. I don’t feel that he was very knowledgeable about the three different diagnoses he guessed that I may have. I do believe medication can help, but I also believe that it is not the only answer to all questions. Very disappointed and still feeling hopeless.

Dr. Abbass is very caring and deliberate. He is very thorough and his thorougness saved my life by finding my colon cancer in a very early stage. His office and endoscopy staff are very kind and professional. Having been to two other gastroenterologists at 2 different endoscopy centers in the past, I can say without a doubt that he is the best!

Thanks to Dr. Abbass my heartburn and swallowing issues have been well controlled. I required stretching of the esophagus and the procedures with him were a breeze compared to my prior experiences years ago. I have also had my colonoscopy with him. Just a wonderful doctor- very skilled and informative.

I have been seeing Dr. Abbass for 5 years and only have wonderful things to say. I had been dealing with years of abdominal symptoms. He has patiently worked with me. Dr. Abbass shows great empathy- he cares and he listens. He explains things in easy to understand ways and comes up with a clear plan. Follow up has been great. I have recommended him to several friends and family and they have been very happy. And I have been feeling great!

Dr Rami abbass misdagnosed me and treated me inhumanely regarding my severe pain after hospital doc looked at my situation and prescribed me pain meds, Rami abbass didn't bother to take a look and had no concern about my extreme pain, makes numerous prescription mistakes

I had a colonoscopy and I could not have been more disappointed. After sedation I was greeted by a nurse who began giving me reasons as to why the procedure took too long. I ask for my husband so he could listen to the post op instructions and they told him to go get the car. The doctor told me there were "too many seeds in my colon and it messed with his scope." He blamed it on noncompliance despite me following all the instructions. He said I need another one in 1 year. They ignored me.

This doctor was great when he did a colonoscopy on me, but after that his lack of knowledge and what to do about my irritable bowel syndrome was horrible! After recommending a couple of treatments that did not work; he basically threw his hands up in the air and said there was nothing more he could do for me! He left me sitting speechless in his office as he just up and left the room. I was stunned! No doctor has ever just left me hanging! He did not even refer me to someone else!

Dr. Abbass is friendly, and his staff is nice, but he did not take my medical complaints seriously. After first meeting, he recommended a colonoscopy, which I did, even though I was 31. The day of the scope, I expressed my surprise at how punctual everything was, and I was taken in earlier than expected. The nurse said "Dr. Abbass runs a tight ship". I realized then I was taken for a financial ride. Later, when I told him my hemorrhoid bothered me, he shrugged, and that was end of conversation.

Very good Dr. He will sit down and listen to what you are saying. It took a couple of different tests to figure out the issue, but he found out what it was. I would recommend to others.
