I saw Dr. Veeragandham after I was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (blood clot). I was scared about the risks and if I was on the right medication. After just 5 minutes, he put my mind at ease. He patiently listened to my story. I never felt rushed. He then shared in depth information about my condition and best treatment approach. My clot is resolved now, but if I needed surgery, I would trust Dr. V as my surgeon.

My 87 year old father was rushed to the ER on 12/22/2016 & diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm & dissection. Thanks to Dr. Veeragandham, the surgeon on call that day, my father is alive today! He performed a very complicated surgery for almost 14 hours! Dr V gave us the courage & the confidence to go through this. He is very humble, caring, gifted & a fantastic doctor! His bedside manners are impeccable! He patiently explained the little details & answered all our questions. He is the best ever!

Dr. Veeragandham is possibly the most knowledgeable, professional, skilled Cardiac Surgeon EVER. He is particular, precise and will take the time to answer questions by both the patient as well as the family. His attention to detail is simply amazing and his memory regarding each patient is remarkable. Would I recommend? YES, YES AND YES. His physician assistants as well are top notch. He is the most skilled, professional and caring doctor I have experienced. My CABG and recovery could not have gone better. He made my family feel comfortable and informed throughout the pre-op period until the day he released me from his care. I highly recommend Dr. Veeragandham and his entire team.

On October 1st 2015, Dr V, as he is known by his closest professionals, performed emergency open heart surgery on my wife Helene Joan Kaufmann. She suffered an accident in Dublin Ireland one hour after landing there which caused an aorta dissection which was misdiagnosed at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. Upon returning to the US, we were transferred to John Muir Concord where Dr V performed a 10 hour surgical procedure to replace Joan's aorta under extreme pressure which saved her life. The best

Before and after care was great, plus he and others took the time and answered all my questions and I did not feel rushed at all. The stay at John Muir were he preformed a triple by pass for me was also simply the BEST. 3 months post now and planning to return to work now and start cardiac recovery program. Dr Veeragandhan is an outstanding surgeon. Thanks to him my mother is still alive today. He operated on her on an aortic aneurysm at age 92. God bless you for helping others .

Recently I had bypass surgery in Concord California at John Muir Medical Center with Dr Veeragandham. He is known for being a great surgeon but the man inside is very special. My experience with him before and after surgery was outstanding as he constantly gave me trust that all would be well. His communication with me and my son before and after surgery was superb. I am recovering quite well and am totally self sufficient after three weeks. Michael Bean
