I have had the same rare condition for 32 years and I had seen 14 physicians before Dr. Ashwath. Within 2 months of my first visit, a procedure that lasted for several hours changed my life completely. The pain was incomparable to the excitement of being able to eat anything I wanted and go to the restroom like a regular person. I cannot be more thankful to Dr. Ashwath and his staff. He was patient, reliable, and most importantly cared for my physical ailment as well as catering to my cultural and psychiatric needs. His staff was personable, friendly, and assisted me with all my issues. I understood that I was not the only patient calling and treated them with kindness and respect as well which might have helped my case hahaha. Highly recommend if you have any stomach issues or other GI problems.

MD ok. Staff needs a "check up from the neck up". Dr. Ashwath wanted a test done by another MD @ Tampa General. I waited to hear back from his staff for well over 2 WEEKS and never heard a word. NOTHING...when I finally pushed his staff and spoke to three different staff members...I have still not heard a word back, Try to only have ONE bowel movement in a MONTH and have to wait...and wait...and wait for a call back, So VERY disappointed.

I only saw Dr Ashwath once in 2018 and wasn't a huge fan as I waited over an hour from my appt time to be seen. This is not a practice I like for my doctors to have as my time is as precious as theirs. Since seeing this doctor, I have found a new gastroenterologist that I use. However, i received an invoice from Dr Ashwath for a endoscopy that I never had at a hospital I've never been too. When I called his office to dispute the bill, I felt that the person in the office wasn't super friendly and even though he said he would look into it also wanted me to contact my hospital (which isnt the one on the bill). Its been quite a run around. I'm hoping to get this issue resolved but still would not refer him due to the issues experienced.

Dr. Ashwath is sincere and clearly motivated in helping his patients reach optimal health under his care. He never rushes or makes one feel as though there is not enough time to talk through treatment options. His staff is friendly both on the phone and in person.

Dr. is great....Staff is pitiful...Maria, and Virginia always say they are sending med records and they never do,. Virginia said she would send updated codes for insurance that I was being billed for. NEVER DID. Two months later, still NEVER DID. Maria told me twice that she was mailing my lab report from Cologuard but NEVER DID. About 3 weeks later, still NEVER DID. STILL WAITING!

While he may be a wonderful Dr. I will never know. I got to his office at 9;45 for my 10 am appt. The waiting room was full with 4 people standing. I turned in new patient form and insurance and waited. Everyone in the waiting room started talking and we figured out the Dr. Had tripple booked time slots example 3 10am apps. This was for all morning appts. From 9 to 10:30 at least. Many of us gave the receptionist an earful and walked out. She said the Dr. Was aware of the tripple bookings.

Dr. Ashwath is an amazing doctor, he took time to listen to my needs and diagnosed the problem correctly, which my previous GI doctor had missed. The office staff are very sweet people, they went way over board and helped me in every step from appointments to getting the results on time. Would highly recommend to anyone. God bless.

My husband and I used Dr. Ashwath for our colonoscopy procedure. I called at the end of November and we had our procedures done 12/30 (needed before year end & they accomodated). The office staff communicated well with information and appointments. Our procedures were at the Brandon Surgery Center, we were very happy with the staff there also. Dr. Ashwath spent an appropriate amount of time reviewing the procedure including prep, and met with us following to review results. I would recommend.

I had a colonoscopy at St Joes in Riverview with Dr. Ashwath! All went well! I would recommend him to all! He had me (as he does all his patients) do a dietary change 5 days before my procedure. I was hesitant about this, but it all went well! He was very personable before and after my procedure. He found 2 small polyps (which he removed) and were found to be benign!

The doctor was very short and seem very uninterested in gathering information from me. The office was disgustingly dirty, old furniture with tape, dirty walls, dirty floors, junk piled in corners and everything in disarray--completely unprofessional environment! Speaks to the level of the doctors care in procedures if you ask me, his staff, and his attention to detail. The staff were rude to one another in front of patients and even talked about one another to patients. I was not impressed!
