Joint problems are rarely one-dimensional. Many factors contribute to the reasons for joint pain. This article will address two concepts fundamental to understanding joint pain. In general, joint pain is the result of:
1) A structural derangement of some sort, and 2) A muscular dysfunction or imbalance which interacts with the structural problem. "
