Went in the following day after TX opened up after lock-down. I simply needed my high blood pressure meds renewed...appointment was made 6 months in advance. Dr Shah was vague and ordered a battery of tests claiming he saw something he "didn't like." After 2 wks and tests results in, nothing was changed... Then a few weeks later, I received a $2,000 bill (!). I believe Bay Area Heart was simply "goosing" their business after the lock-downs. What a shame...will never go there again.

Five years ago, I was hospitalized and Dr. Shah was assigned to me. A medical friend of mine chose him as his own cardiologist...always reassuring! How very glad I am! (Bonus: A medical friend of mine chose him as his own cardiologist...always reassuring to have that recommendation.) He is : - very thorough: considers the ‘whole’ , as in, all of the body systems and not just focusing on cardiac (which is what landed me in hospital) - educates me on the “how’s” and “why’s” of systems, tests and procedures - communicates with other physicians under whose care I am - reads all reports and explains findings; writes up thorough notes I appreciate that I get a written report + can access my files, online.

Dr. Shah his top notch. His front office staff and billing department not so much. They continue to bill me for something that they should be billing my secondary insurance for. I have left six messages three of them with the billing department and three of them with the office manager. No one will return my call. I showed up today and conveniently no one was there. All I need to do is bill my insurance and they’ll get paid.
