I have a busy clinical practice seeing patients with a wide range of general gastrointestinal disorders and I perform endoscopy and colonoscopy. Additionally I specialize in evaluation and management of esophageal disorders including Barrett's esophagus gastroesophageal reflux disease and esophageal motility disorders. I perform radiofrequency ablation of Barrett's esophagus which has in recent years revolutionized our treatment of patients with this disorder. My practice allows me to directly utilize advances in endoscopy and esophageal testing to improve the care of my patients. I feel very fortunate to have been part of the Duke community since my years as a Duke undergraduate in the 1990s.
