What a lovely doctor. Knowledgeable, caring, attentive... and personable. Everything I could want in a physician. On the recommendation of my step-sister I'm so glad to know Dr Sharma is there for me! Highly recommend when in need! (I only wish there was a 6th star to give)

Dr. Sharma is absolutely incredible. After many ER visits, different specialists and countless tests that gave me no answers, I was referred to see Dr. Sharma. During my consultation, he asked me about my lifestyle and asked more detailed questions when I was explaining my symptoms. He then went into depth about the possibilities of what's causing my symptoms, explained what certain tests could tell us and made me feel more at ease with the fact that he was trying to understand what was going on as a whole. This is something that I had not yet experienced from any other physician. He then went over all my results and the plan of action to make things better. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Sharma to any one and will continue my treatment with him.

I was scared and nervous about my appointment to discuss my heart valve disease, especially since my family couldn’t accompany me due to Covid restrictions. After meeting with Dr. Sharma I felt immediately at ease! He was genuine, caring and he answered all my questions. We together, came up with an excellent treatment plan to have my heart valve replacement! Now that I have a brand new heart valve, I’m back to doing the things I love most, like walking my Corgi Winston! I have the upmost confidence in Dr. Sharma and his team at Stanford.

Dr. Sharma was wonderful. Patient, understanding and most importantly, he listened to me, walked me through my concerns about the procedure we were discussing. I am grateful to the friend who referred me to Dr. Sharma. To have someone take the time to allow me to feel comfortable about having this procedure meant a lot to me. I'd heard he was the best in the Bay area but given that I live a distance away, I wasn't sure I wanted to drive to Stanford for my procedure and follow up. I am so glad I did! Dr. Sharma is truly a wonderful Physician and I am so glad I made the decision to travel for care!

The mitral valve clip procedure performed by Dr. Sharma and his staff has done amazing things for me. From the moment I awoke in the recovery room I could feel better than I had for the past year. The teams that cared for me throughout were superb through my discharge. I have regained much of my ability prior to my experience with congestive heart failure. Within a week I was able to resume my morning 1 hour walking routine without running out of breath or strength. I really appreciate the minimal invasive nature of the procedure. Many years ago I had open heart surgery and it took a long time to recooperate. Dr. Sharma and his team along with the hospital staff are examples of the high caliber of individuals Stanford attracts and the forward-thinking done to deserve it's high reputation of being on the "cutting edge" of healing practices.

Dr. Sharma has been a godsend for my dad. My dad was seeing a cardiologist and surgeon pair who really didn't know what they were doing. He was in and out of the hosptial 7 times (during Covid!) with no resolution. I was referred to Dr. Sharma through a friend, and he patiently went through my dad's records and test results and helped us understand the root of the problem in my dad's heart. He explained everything so clearly and thoroughly. He understood what was going on right away - he's clearly extremely well qualified - and recommended a treatment approach that's logical and looks to solve the root cause rather than just treating the symptoms. He followed up to make sure my dad had the best care where he lives (my dad is not local). I honestly feel like he saved my dad's life by redirecting the focus his previous doctors had, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Dr. Sharma has been a life saver. Literally! During Covid 19 I had a heart attack and received care at my local hospital but given the situation the process was rushed and I wasn't able to receive follow up care. A family friend put me in touch with Dr. S and he took the time to review everything with me. Answered hundreds of questions from my myself / my family and found gaps in my medicine regiment. I can not express how grateful I am for the time he took to review my history and walk me through every step of the process. To this day he continues to check in and be an invaluable resource in my health journey.
