My daughter was remitted by her pediatrician to an ENT because she had recurrent otitis media. Dr. Portela took just ONE LOOK at her ears and recommended ear tubes. How can you know this surgery is necessary with just one look? He did not do any other checkings, follow up, or proposed any treatment. I asked him why, he said her pediatrician had documented her history well, but he is the specialist! I expected him to do more checkings. But he didn't even take the time to explain his recommendation

Took my daughter to Dr Portela he was nice and polite, but they can even clean her ears wax pretty well due she was uncooperative and the lack of patient of the nursing team, then we were suggested to have a follow up appointment in order to see if could be done later. In the mean time we could not show up for the next appointment due to she had a test at school and we were charged 20.00 usd for no show ,almost sent to a collection agency .This a business practice first and a healthcare one after

Years ago I took my son with Dr Portela and I liked him very much. This time I went to his son Dr Antonio Portela and had a wonderful experience. He has been the only ENT that has really taken an interest in getting to the bottom of my sons symptoms.Today my son underwent surgery with DrvAntoniobPortelacand it was a success. His level of professionalism is unsurpassed and his bedside manners are such that my son felt confident, relaxed and very much at ease.Extremely happy!
