I really like Dr Amaro. He has an excellent bedside manner. He is prompt, professional and has an excellent staff. This was my second colonoscopy with him. One thing that touched me was, as my Dad died from colon cancer, he asked if all my siblings were having theirs checked every five years. They are not his patients nor does he know them. He genuinely cares. The procedure went well and I was able to workout early the following morning.

Dr. Amaro was very thorough in his exam and in assessing my condition. I had changed doctors because the last one I went to was clearly not experienced. I felt comfortable and confident in Dr. Amaro and was very glad to have found him.

Dr. Amaro has been amazing for my wife. She went to several GI's and he was the only one to figure out what was going on with her. ANYTIME she has had any concerns or was sick, he has always been there for her and made sure she was ok. From phone calls to check on her, to procedures, to hospitalizations, even if she had doubts. She and I are so greatful to him. Without him, she would probably still be sick if not worse. Thank you Dr. Amaro for being so great! Thank you to the kind staff up there as well, ya'll are amazing!

I saw Dr. Amaro for a consult prior to a colonoscopy. His bedside manner is excellent. He ordered and used additional blood work to diagnose a condition that was not even directly related to the colonoscopy. He was engaged, attentive, explained things clearly, and generated my confidence. The procedure itself was no problem. Also, his Medical Assistant was wonderful. Also the staff at the Cedar Park location were terrific to deal with: blood draw was easy, scheduling was helpful. A positive experience all around.

Despite the fact that no one I know (including me) enjoys a colonoscopy, I can say I've never seen a friendlier staff. They make it as enjoyable as possible. Dr. Amaro is a class act. The procedure went smooth. I would recommend these guys for any problems you might have "down there".
