My late husband was one of Dr. Thapar's first patients! He was able to see the doc, or an associate, of & on for over 25 years! The doctor saw my husband at many stages of his life & remained confident in the staff and the services provided.

First of all, I wanted to see Dr Nitin Thapar. They gave me the father. He messed me up so bad I wouldn't let him treat my dog! Then when I wanted to see Dr Nitin Thapar they said I couldn't switch. I will be searching for a new Doctor. This practice is shameful.

Doesn't care to figure out what's wrong with you at all. 2 visits less than 5 minutes each. Even when going out of my way to further explain what I was struggling with it was easy to tell he didn't care.

Dr thapar is all about the money, charged $100 every four weeks for a 2 minute telehealth appointment and gave me an incorrect diagnosis and medication which led me to becoming suicidal. He did not listen to what I said and kept insisting I was on the correct medication. After seeing a new doctor I was quickly correctly diagnosed and the new doctor was very surprised thapar did not catch this earlier.

Dr. Thapar does not care about his patients. He just wants to give you a prescription, collect on your insurance, and get you out of his face. His office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. They make constant billing errors and refuse to complete paperwork or relay messages to him because of personal reasons. If you need to speak with him or relay a message or concern you will have to wait until your next appointment because the office staff is incompetent. These people are the reason that certain negative mental health stigma's exist in our communities. I would leave 0 stars if I could.

i went to 2 appointments which lasted less than 15 minutes total, yet I was charged $164 copay for services and $300 for a genetic test that I did not ask for and he does not follow. Not a good selection if you want to get to the bottom of your issues, however if you want medication, he seems to be the right person to call. Very disappointed.

We just relocated to the area.. Trying to find a replacement to an amazing Doctor we had in Indianapolis. My child has ADHD and some behavioral issues. Dr. Thapar met with us for the first time a few months ago. Our first appointment lasted only 15 minutes, and it only lasted that long because he was just offering a laundry list of medications we could try to help my son. I had hoped that he would have more insight into what medications would best treat his ADHD and not exasperate his ODD. It was just pick a drug any drug, so we did and though we had some success, the next visit he wanted my son to now be on an extended release and after sitting down with us for literally 5 minutes and me still talking about finding additional help for his ODD.... he interrupted and said “I already wrote your prescription, you can leave now. I’m not going to refer you to a therapist yet”. I was so frustrated. As a mother to a child with behavioral issues, it is my top priority to find the right care.

He is quick but knowledgeable. I had seen a doctor at Lutheran General that was quick and just 10 minute appointments. this is not unusual these days since they expect people to see a therapist for talk therapy. I liked him more after the second and third time. He was always very nice. It takes time and his job though is to prescribe medicine. He is smart so can diagnose quick

Dr. Thapar is a really nice man, compassionate and I think knows his stuff about medications and getting you as "normal" as possible. These 1 star reviews are from some mentally ill person who didnt get their way. I have never waited, in fact there are numerous times he has fit me in early.I suffer from Major Depression and finally feel , dare I say Happy? He is not a psychologist- if you need talk therapy see one. He is a medical doctor who prescribes medicine. You wont find a nicer guy .

He only cared about prescribing medication and charging me. Never prescribed blood tests after years of prescribing the same medicine. He would tune out and not listen, getting very distracted after speaking to him for 5 minutes. On one occasion after I finished a comment about my issues he replied with, "Is there any air coming out of that vent over there?" He once told me he was thinking about buying an apt. bldg. and asked if I wanted to rent a room from him! So glad I moved on to another dr

If you know even a little about psych. Don't go to this quack! His staff is not friendly and he reschedules constantly. Wait time is a joke for five mins and a load of drugs that do not work and turn u into a zombie. Don't let him just give you anything. Research first!!

Horrible! Wait time long! Staff not friendly whatsoever. The Drs. Are a joke. Wait a half hr for 5 mins in and out like cattle. I begged for help that the meds were not working. The dr did nothing. The next time in I told him I am afraid for my life. And I guess in fear for his practice instead of actually doing the right thing I then received a letter saying he will no longer be able to be my dr. He doesn't care to help. He cares about $$$. And his methods are unhealthy And unhelpful.
