I have suffered from left leg swelling for over 5 years. I was told by other physicians I would just have to learn to live with it. I tried compression stockings, ice, leg elevation etc. but the swelling continued. Dr. Kokinos suspected I had May Thurners Syndrome and had her Vascular Ultrasound technologist scan me. I agreed to an IVUS procedure where Dr confirmed her diagnosis. She placed a stent to re-establish my blood flow and now my swelling has completely gone away. Thank you Dr. Kokinos

Conditions Treated

Dr. Kokinos says..

Dr. Kokinos and the staff at South Bay Vascular Center can help fix your swollen, achy legs, non healing leg wounds, leg ulcerations and peripheral arterial disease.

By offering FDA approved medical treatments for Peripheral Vascular Disease, Leg Swelling and Cosmetic Vein Procedures in our 7000 square foot state of the art Vascular Surgery Center of Excellence in Campbell, CA., the physicians and staff of SBVC provide a personalized experience in a professional setting designed to bypass the difficulties of hospital admissions and "cold" feeling of a hospital. Here, patients are warmly welcomed, have a 1 to 1 patient nurse ratio, and can feel confident that they will receive the state of the art care they deserve. Following their procedures patients recover in a room filled with relaxing classical music and hushed sounds in a very private setting, instead of the loud impersonal chaos characteristic of most hospital recovery rooms.

We are pleased to welcome new patients into our practice every day and are happy to meet with patients to discuss the most appropriate treatment options for their conditions. Please call our office at 408-376-3626 to schedule your appointment and to discover how we can help you "get back your life. "

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

Dr. Kokinos' Care Philosophy

At South Bay Vascular Center and Vein Institute our goal is simple: to ensure the best possible outcomes in the safest and most comfortable environment.

For over 20 years Dr. Kokinos and her staff at South Bay Vascular Center and Vein Institute have helped tens of thousands of patients in the Silicon Valley get their lives back by successfully treating their leg swelling, circulatory and cosmetic vein issues. Dr Kokinos is recognized by her colleagues as a specialist in the treatment of leg swelling and May Thurners Syndrome as well as in the treatment of Peripheral Vascular Disease. To date, Dr Kokinos has successfully performed over 10,000 cosmetic vein procedures fixing varicose veins.

Our on-site, Accredited Ultrasound Laboratory and Angiography Suite are the first of their kind in the area. These core competencies allow our physicians to diagnose as well as to treat our patients in a single facility, without the need to travel between multiple locations...and that's why we are different.

As Vascular surgeons we have spent our entire careers training to help patients with circulation issues and are dedicated to treating both the symptoms of poor circulation (Leg Swelling, Ugly Varicose and Spider Veins, and Peripheral Vascular Disease) as well as the underlying causes of these circulatory issues.
