AVOID THIS DOCTOR
BAD DOCTOR. Tries to upsell procedures and they demand, in my case, $500 up front! He cuts patients off at a whim and leaves them (me) without any further medication. Temper tantrum doctor who doesn't like me speaking doctoral-level English at him. I told him (after 2.5 years) to take me off his patient list. He's about as worthless as they come. He never physically examined my back or leg. One more than one visit, he had to ask me what he was treating again? I just sat there with my mouth open. He's very arrogant and always wants to sell VERY EXPENSIVE procedures. His attitude changed considerably when I said NO for the final time about his $500 wonder wiring in my back. Upon research, that procedure has a LOW success rate. Rotten doctor. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Professional, kind, helpful!
Excellent! I have been seen four times by Dr Poly Chen and received two injections. Dr Chen has been so nice, thorough, and moreover, he genuinely cares. The two injections have lessened my sciatic type pain considerably. I was reluctant to have more steroid infections in my spine because the last two I had (elsewhere) were so painful and because of that, I was apprehensive, I had sedation which was very effective, and more so than the IV sedation I had elsewhere. The entire staff has been kind and respectful. I appreciate them for being professional and very up to date. I especially like the patient portal and being able to reach the office via text. Pain clinics get a bad rap, but this place isn’t like the image I had. I hope to not need this place in the long haul but am grateful there are doctors like Dr Chen and his colleagues. They are 100% professional.

Dr Chen rushed through the appointment, suggested surgery without even looking at, or touching me. Not doing shots that worked for 5 years.

The front desk staff is great, polite, efficient, and friendly. The procedure I eventually got, worked. It took months for me to convince the doctor to do the procedure I had in the past in another State. Then he made me pay hundreds of dollars in advance saying insurance wouldn’t cover it, then he billed insurance, got paid, and kept $700 of what should have been my money for several months. In reviewing my med records in his office, there are lots of errors. Med staff never listens or care.
