dryden, mi |
Dr. Schmitt provided excellent advise on my condition and options for a corrective health plan, and surgical options. His patient skills made it easy to talk to. He took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. His staff and PA Stephanie provide an overall pleasant experience.

very friendly got an appointment right away surgery went great and I felt great about having him as a doctor. I had been to three other orthopedic men they did not show the care that Dr. Schmitt did.
in Pontiac, MI |
I had my left hip replaced Aug 22, 2016 by Dr. Schmitt. Prior to the surgery, he answered every question , sent all my apprehensions out the window and made me feel confident in him and in my decision to have the surgery. The operation went beautifully, the hospital stay was brief, no pain at all and the after care was spectacular. I was able to return to work 3 weeks after the procedure. I am having the right hip done Nov 21st and know it will go just as smoothly. Highly recommend him!
in Union Lake, Michigan |
Dr Schmitt is very competent. From the beginning the process went smoothly. I never spent more than a couple minutes in a waiting room or exam room. His staff was well organized. Was very impressed with the post-op wing at Huron Valley Hospital; the staff was outstanding. Even the food was good,

I have had a Birmingham Hip done by Dr.Schmitt and from start to finish the experience was unbelievable . I liked how his team would let you know exactly what is going to happen and assure you that everything is going to be just fine . I had such a great experience with the hip that when its was time for my knee I choose Dr.Schmitt to do that precedure also and the out come was spot on . I would recommend Dr . Schmitt no questions asked superb results . David Karpelenia Grand Blanc Mi.
This doc is a butcher. Poor judgement. Thinks he know it all and doesn't run necessary tests. He operated on my hip twice because he didn't bother to run a simple test first. He did not attach a muscle completely. The stem in my femur is in a poor position. The cup was the wrong size, in the wrong place and was not attached. Even the screws were loose. I suffered for 2 years because he would only X-ray it. Implied that I was just a complainer. I found another doc to redo it. Stil hurts.
