As another reviewer has stated , when he realized he didn’t know how to fix my problem he totally dismissed me, without even an explanation. Very full of himself. Starting to believe his own press.

I could not have worse things to say about Dr. Pearson. He failed at the most basic thing in his specialization - creating a temporary stoma. I had agonizing pain for months from the stomach acid burning my skin as stool could never be pouched from the poorly formed stoma. He took it down early as a consequence, which may have caused the fistula I had for YEARS (which took him way too long to listen to me and diagnose) and now have a permanent stoma for (he referred me to a colleague who had been equally negligent). To add insult to injury, I also got C-diff at the hospital, which even I knew there was something terribly wrong but he stated diarrhea was "normal" when forming a new rectum. He managed to remove the tumor, at least. Do not make the mistake I did by going to him - seek out a highly reputable colorectal surgeon, starting with the top cancer surgeons in the country. For such a life altering surgery, it is worth it to wait and do your research.

Dr. Pearson was very humorous and confident when he was treating my fistula. He used seton for the surgery, which took longer but gives me better chance to fully fix the problem. It's been a month after the removal of seton, and it feels great without the condition anymore. Dr. Pearson had been very professional, calming and his confidence helped me to trust him and make the right decision. His staff were friendly and joyful. It had been a pleasure going to his office.

I visited him in the Exton office I was very nervous . I had precancerous cells that needed to be removed . He made me feel so confident that I will get it taken care of and be fine . At the hospital where I had the out patient surgery he was awesome . So warm and kind . Today is the day after my surgery and I really don’t feel any pain like I thought. He sent me home with meds and stuff to help with soreness. I have not needed to use as of yet . It was a great feeling to have a doctor explain show you he cares and gives you relief of stressing. He is absolutely fantastic.

Had extreme pain due to an al fissure. Had already seen 1 other doctor. Dr. Pearson assessed the situation, recommended minor surgery, and performed it within 2 days of my visit. It was outpatient surgery and I had minor pain for 2 days and have been perfect since. Equally important, Dr. Pearson spent significant time with me discussing my issue, prior treatments (successful and not successful) by other doctors … and spelled out pros and cons of his suggested treatment. Huge thumbs up!

Dr. Pearson treated my teenage daughter and was amazing. He made her feel at ease with his wit and warm personality. He explained everything in detail and genuinely listened to our concerns. He is very good at his job and went above and beyond with checking on her with follow up care. I highly recommend him!

Very friendly, concerned and quick to take action. Frustrated when not able to solve problem and referred me to a colleague himself, which was much appreciated.

Recently I had surgery with Dr. Pearson. He was great. He listened to me, examined me to confirm my complaints, and the surgery went very well. The tip-off to me was how the OR nurses raved about him, and they are usually a high-standards group. He’s the best.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Pearson. He treated my husband a few years ago (rectal cancer) and went above and beyond simple medical care. I was just treated by him recently and he has not changed. He is renowned in his field, and continues to blow me away with his warm, personable personality and the promptness with which he responds. I would highly recommend him.
