Fairfield, CT |
Dr. Philip Minotti performed a total hip replacement and I am very happy that I decided to have him to the surgery. Dr. Minotti is a very competent physician, and can strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a hip replacement. Dr. Minotti is one of the few surgeons who does the anterior approach, which means less trauma to surrounding tissue, better recovery and less chances for problems.

I had an anterior approach THR performed by Dr. Minotti on 12/8/16 in the Branford SurgiCenter. I was prepped, under went the procedure, and discharged in 7 hours. I was walking without a cane in 4 days, went back to work in my law office in 5 days. I took the prescribed pain medication the night after surgery...Tylenol thereafter. Within 10 days, I was back in the gym, treadmill and lifting. I am now 3 1/2 months post op and feel great. Pain no longer rules my life.Even back on the hoop court!

I had hip revision surgery in February 2012. In July there was a full recall issued on the hip model, Stryker ABG II, due to a breakdown issue of the deal on the device. Dr. Minotti failed to inform me of this issue and give me the option to have replacement surgery. On August 2014 I was admitted to the hospital with an infection from this device that went septic in my body and almost killed me. Minotti assured my wife and I he would support us in any manner if we sued Stryker! He refused!!!
