Dr Walinsky is careful, meticulous, caring, and the most talented surgeon I have ever met - and I’ve had a lot of surgery. His crew at Memorial has their own standard of care - a level above hospital standard - that they implement and require for all their patients. He and his team worked not only with my valve and a fib problems but with my paralyzing and hysterical fear of the surgery. He was the only doctor I saw who didn’t just push that aside. I am alive and sane today because of the Big W.

Dr. Peter Walinsky saved my Grandfather's life! Dr. Walinsky found that Papa's heart was a mess. Dr. Walinsky said that most Dr's wouldn't recommend open surgery on someone with as advanced cardiac disease as our Papa had, but that he was willing to try it. Not only did he try, he succeeded at a very long, and very complex open surgery. Papa had 1 valve replacement, a maze procedure and a quadruple bypass. Papa is doing great and we have more time with him now! Thank you so much!

Dr. Walinsky preformed my open heart in January, 2017. He successfully repaired my descending thoracic aneurysm and leaking aortic valve. My recovery has been a complete success, and I am looking forward to many more years of good health with family and friends thanks to his exceptional surgical skills and care. Colorado Springs and C.U. Health are very fortunate to have the services of Dr. Walinsky available to us.

Our experience with Dr Walinsky was nothing but amazing! My father was delivered to Memorial Hospital due to heart attack and per diagnosis surgery was needed. We were blessed to be in Dr Walinsky's care and him perform the surgery himself and watch my father post recovery at the hospital. Dr Walinsky understands the crucial condition his patients and their family members are in and approaches you with patience, knowledge & expertise. Thank you Dr Walinsky for all that you did for our family!

May 31, 2016 Dr. Walinsky replaced my aortic valve. He, and his staff cannot be rated higher by me and my wife, Joan. I am a 70 year old man and could only have anticipated a few more years of life without this operation. My heart is now evaluated as excellent, by other doctors. After 8 spinal fusions, my experience with surgeons and hospitals has not been uniformly excellent, but this time I could not be happier. I am deeply, deeply grateful.
