Dr. Peter Uggowitzer was born in Montreal, Canada. He completed both his undergraduate degree and medical degree at McGill University. He then completed a residency in Family Practice at the University of Maryland between 1987 and 1990. During the last year of his residency he was the chief resident for his program. In 1990, he moved to Ontario, Canada to begin his practice of medicine. During his 4 years in rural Ontario he served as the chief of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at Campbellford Memorial Hospital. In 1994 he returned to Hampstead Maryland and became the sole owner of Carroll Family Medicine in 1999. He had admitting privileges to Carroll Hospital Center until 2002 and was the department head for Family Practice for 2 years. He is married to Robin and has two sons Kevin, who attends McGill University as a masters student in organic chemistry, and Zachary who is a junior at Manchester Valley High School.
