Dr. Sprockel is a board certified family medicine and sports medicine physician who completed his family medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. He then went on to complete his fellowship training in sports medicine at Texas Tech University, where he served as the associate team physician for The Red Raiders. Dr. Sprockel has experience in urgent care, pediatrics, occupational health, travel medicine and family medicine. He believes that his skills as a primary care sports medicine physician can help expand the spectrum of care provided for patients.
Dr. Sprockel's medical focus is in concussion management, sports physicals, musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, strains, fractures, dislocations), joint injections, medical conditions of athletes, medical management of arthritis, osteoporosis and preventive care for active individuals among other services.
Dr. Sprockel has worked with the Houston Dynamo and numerous non-profit organizations providing education and medical services. He also works with several high schools in the Greater Houston area. Dr. Sprockel is a Houstonian who graduated from Clear Lake High School and is fluent in Spanish. He is an avid soccer fan and believes that participating in sports is a great way to exercise and improve your health.
