Two years ago, Dr. Sharkey was my surgeon. I had bilateral knee replacements. Choosing to have the surgery and choosing Dr. Sharkey were two of the best decisions I ever made. My surgery changed my life! Dr. Sharkey was honest with me that the recovery demanded work. He told me that the first 4 weeks would be challenging. They were. But, 4 weeks passes quickly. Two years later, I am able to sit in any chair, climb stairs, go for long walks, even get into a kayak. Dr. Sharkey is the best!

Dr Sharkey had very good bedside manner, he explained everything prior to surgery and then came in after to give me specifics on how it went. After rehab the knee feels like it’s brand new. Would highly recommend having him do your surgery if you haven’t selected one yet

Very friendly and caring doctor & staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful; from my initial call to consult with a doctor to my one-year post surgery follow-up amid the pandemic. The surgery site staff were also very friendly, caring and helpful. I can hardly see my surgical incision! Dr. Sharkey will put you at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Sharkey and his team!

Dr. Sharkey has been my orthopedist for 10 years, having completed a single successful knee replacement at that time. I am now scheduled for another knee replacement when time allows for elective surgery due to the coronavirus. I cannot imagine allowing any other surgeon to perform such a complicated procedure which will determine my ability to function normally again. He is the best!

Dr. Sharkey replaces my left hip 2 years ago, I went to see him yesterday about my right hip, he could have easily told me to replace the hip but recommended physical therapy. Dr. Sharkey is internationally reknown and is an amazing surgeon, I wouldn’t let anyone else replace my hip as I travel almost two hours to see him. I have recommended him to a number of people, they had their hips replaced are were tremendously satisfied. I thank Dr. Sharkey for giving me my life back. George Georgeles, Hampton, NJ

Dr. Sharkey replaced my Granmothers hip and then within 1 year, he replaced her other hip. Also, both her knees were replaced same day approx 6 months post hip replacements. Absolutely wonderful doctor!! He has amazing bedside manners. He was referred to us by a friend who had a knee placement and who was back to work 4 weeks later, no light duty Necessary! This was all 10+ years ago and I can’t imagine the success he has now! My Bionic Grandmother is still walking around wonderfully at 80 years of age!! All thanks to Dr. Peter Sharkey!! I would like to add, all four of her incision areas, scarring is very minimal and barely noticeable. Dr. Sharkey replaced my Mother-in-laws knee this morning. I spoke to her this evening and she has very little pain and has already taking 20 steps with a walker!! AMAZING DOCTOR ????????????????????

I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Sharkey is so easy to talk to. He explains things in a fashion easy to understand. He replaced my knee 4 years ago, excellent recovery. He is now treating me for a hip problem. No place better. Highly recommend Dr. Sharkey.

I would highly recommend Dr Sharkey. Not only professional but very caring. Listens carefully and answers all questions thoroughly. I've never had major surgery before and was afraid of having my hip replaced but Dr Sharkey put me at ease about the process but did not pressure me into having the procedure.

Dr. Sharkey is such an experienced surgeon. I had so much osteoarthritic pain in my hip, but after having it replaced by him, I am pain-free and back to my normal activities again in no time. He is the nicest, most patient man that explains everything, which I needed because I was a nervous wreck to consider such a major operation! I'm grateful that God has given Dr. Sharkey such gift and would (and do!) highly recommend him.

I found that Dr Sharkey was easy to talk to, and that he answered all my questions and concerns. His team is excellent, and the hospital stay and follow up care was superb. Steve Dirocco was an excellent contact and support resource. He and Dr Sharkey were a great team, and very practical and supportive. I have already recommended Dr. Sharkey.
