This office (Delray beach) is so unorganized. I have been trying to get my mom to see Dr Pearlman for months now and they have been so unhelpful with getting the right referral from my moms primary doctor. The referral coordinator does not return your phone calls. The appointment department can not answer any questions regarding getting help with solving the referral problem and keeps sending you to the referral coordinator (who does not answer your calls). After 4 months of cancelled appointments because of a referral code not being sent over from my mom's doctor ( who keeps sending the referral that is asked for from the doctors office) AND hours of me calling both doctor offices to try and get it resolved, I have left this doctor and found a new one. Do not waste your time with the runaround this office will put you through.

No! No! No!
If I could have given a 0 I would have. Awful!! Blamed me, after supposedly making me relax with sleepy med (which was extra cost along with a "special" lense that were supposed to allow me to see near and far) of sitting up on him mid cataract surgery! Said I was 1st person ever to do that! Like I knew I did that..really???Do you think he should have strapped /secured my head. When I asked him that question, he said he shouldn't have needed to since he gave me med to put me in a light sleep. Well, I told him I'm a hard put down...maybe he should have listened. I now am left with optical migraines I never had pre surgery and behind the eye pain. As for the "special" lens, I lost my closeup sight tooIt's been 8 years now I've dealt with this and it's for life! He could have cared less and still said it was my fault for sitting up on him!!! Run, don't walk from here! Never went back to get other eye done by him. Had a different Dr up North do it... Absolutely no problems with that one

Well you wait, wait, wait, wait. A 2:00 PM appt. gets you out of there at 5:30. Even out of season. There staff is terrible all they do is nothing and are not helpful and they challenge everyone. I suggest you do not use them and Dr. Pearlman is a crook and lazy. Move on!!! Find another Eye Center!!!

Dr. Pearlman is perhaps the worst example of corporate medicine I've ever seen as a physician. He actually was supposed to perform cataract surgery on my 85 yo mother and declined due to my being an eye doctor and possibility of a law suit if complications arose. Most doctors would be proud to show off their surgical skills to another eye doctor especially if they were entrusting their mother's care to their hands. Very unprofessional and probably a skittish surgeon. WOULD NOT allow him near my patient's eyes!! Avoid the HMO doctor who cherry picks his cases, that's not how we train to repair patient's eyes. Whoever thought the cataract surgery could be a good experience, But with Dr. Pearlman at the head of the table it was “all good”. From his office staff to the surgical staff everything was done to make me feel comfortable. I am just scheduled my second eye surgery and look forward to it. I have been singing his praises to anyone that would listen!
