DR. Looby recently performed knee replacement surgery at SFSH. I am pleased with the overall experience starting with the planning process, surgery, hospital stay, meals, nurses and the follow up physical therapy at OI.

All along the way - from being called back to begin the appointment to the end of my visit, everyone was very pleasant and personable. The nurses, the X-ray tech, and Dr. Looby were all very professional while being approachable and helpful. It was decided that I needed an injection in my knee plus physical therapy. Dr. Looby injected my knee with only a tiny bit of discomfort. I would definitely recommend Orthopedic Institute to friends.

I have practice law for 35 years, much of the time working with health care professionals. I have learned to pick my health care providers based on my knowledge and relationship with the person, not the entity for whom he or she works. I chose Dr. Looby to do a joint replacement not because of his superior technical skills, but as because of his compassion and empathy for his patients. If you do not know an orthopedic surgeon, you may place your faith in Dr. Looby and his team with confidence.

My daughter tore her acl. Dr. Looby delivered the news with compassion and understanding followed by confidence and assurance. She was about to receive a scholarship to play basketball which would be put on hold. He assured her it was a mere bump in the road and he would have her back in 4-6 weeks. His team is second to none and I have no doubt she will be stronger when she is done than before she was injured.
