Dr. Hoepfner, has done 2 separate surgeries on my right hand. The 1st one was to transfer a tendon from the 1st 2 fingers to the last 2 fingers which were completely useless. Then he replaced 4 knuckles on my right hand which were very damaged due to my severe RA. In my opinion he is an artist who has given me back the ability to use my right hand and lead a full life.

I went to Dr. Hoefner with the problem of losing feeling in my thumb, middle and ring finger. He said that surgery was the best option for the ulnar nerve and carpel tunnel . He did a wonderful job on the surgery and within six months I have all the feeling back in my fingers. He was always on time and very professional. Did not have to wait long for the appointments.

Dr Hoephner is a wonderful doctor. I am very pleased with his knowledge, and my experience. He has performed three surgeries on my wrist, to help it get back to normal, following a fall and subsequent break of the scaphoid. He performed a vascular bone graft, that saved the bone, and allowed it to heal normally.

Dr. Hoepfner had the task of putting my badly broken right wrist, and left elbow back together after I fell in September. Today is January 14, and I am completely healed. His surgical precision is second to none. I would trust him with anyone or anything. He knows what he’s doing.

I was treated for Bilateral Distal Bicep Rupture in both my arms. My results have been fantastic and have no limitations what so ever. Dr. Hoepfner's bedside manner was excellent. He seemed genuinely concerned about my injury and my path to recovery. I never felt rushed during an appointment. He answered every question I had and made me feel confident that I picked the right surgeon. His PA Leigha Carr was just as good and very helpful.

Dr. Hoepfner did my second carpal tunnel and pulley release surgery. I won't comment on the first one, but needless to say, I went to a different doctor for the second. He was excellent. There never was a problem with being left in the office waiting forever. Also, his surgery was excellent and he was very much up on the most current techniques. I had no issues with recovery and within weeks my hand was almost as good as new. I would highly recommend him.

While it wasn't pleasant to have to deal with a fractured wrist, I was VERY pleased with the professional assistance provided by Dr. Hoepfner and Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. He performed surgery to repair my distal radius fracture. His demeanor was calm and caring. He and his team put me at ease. They explained all the details of the surgery and recovery, and provided all the post-surgical support I needed. I highly recommend Dr. Hoepfner.

Dr Hopfner takes his time with you and listens to all of your concerns. His PA is also excellent. They speak to you like you are family. Dr Hoepfner did an excellent job on my thumb surgery. I am glad I did it. After 2 1/2 months, I already have full mobility.

OK, but not impressed. Although he never said that, I felt that was in a hurry and had no time for me. Luckily, I did not have a big problem, just sought some advice to alleviate some discomfort, not a bad pain.

Dr. Hoepfner cared for my shattered shoulder after a cycling crash. Everyone of my orthopaedic doctor friends recommended him for the kind of trauma I suffered and they deferred my care to him. His experience, wisdom and expertise gave me the option to avoid surgery, but he did have to monitor my healing closely. His excellent judgement to not perform surgery was best in my case and after a should 4 months post-comminuted Fx, I have full R.O.M. using my arm normally. A consummate pro Dr. !

Dr. Hoepfner worked closely with me to fix another surgeon's mistake. He followed up throughout the recovery and OT process, he included me in the next step decision making process as well. Dr. Hoepfner educated me on my options and collaborated with me to decide that another surgery would be best. His personality along with his expertise make him one of my very favorite doctors!

Dr. Peter Hoepfner, MD was AMAZING! He removed a mass in my upper arm that was large and wrapped around my ulna nerve. Surgery took longer than expected, and when I woke up I had a Frankenstein like scar. The scar looks amazing today. It's been 7 weeks. The removal of the mass allowed me to continue life as normal. I highly recommend him. THANKS DR. HOEPFNER!

Dr. Hoepfner was very personable in the office to me and my 18 year old daughter. Our visit resulted in having surgery, and he was able to schedule it the next day. I always felt he answered all our questions, and I never felt rushed in any appointments. His PA was just as wonderful.

I shattered my elbow doing yard work and Dr. Hoepfner worked on repairing the bone break but also the issues related to the crushed nerve from the accident. He is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and resourceful. He also works with a great team and put me in touch with amazing occupational therapists. He worked with me regarding my hesitations and fears with surgery and gave his recommendations in conjunction with my goals for my arm. I highly recommend Dr. Hoepfner!!

I can not say enough about Dr. Hoepfner. His bedside manner is truly delightful. He is soft spoken and always has a smile on his face. Even going into surgery he had a kind, reassuring word for me. Before surgery, he called me to discuss and explain everything about my impending surgery. He talked to me in terms that were clear and easy to understand. His post-op care was fantastic. When seeing you he gives you his full attention and does not rush you. I give Dr. Hoepfner 5 stars.

Dr. Hoepfner is a fabulous surgeon and a fine person. Great bedside manor- tells you all you need to know and always takes whatever time is needed to answer any and all questions you may have.
