I received superb surgical treatment of a severe shoulder injury by Dr Cummings in 2017, with excellent follow up care. I saw Dr Cummings again for a recent less severe injury of my OTHER shoulder. I am impressed with Dr Cummings’ preference for conservative treatment (in my experience, unusual in surgeons), along with his attentiveness and friendliness, as well as that of his staff. I recommend him without reservation.

Absolutely fantastic! Had a broken Clavicle, which the ER said would heal itself. Wrong! Fortunately, the amazing TOCA staff got me an appointment quickly. Dr Cummings said I definitely needed emergency surgery. Bones we're stabbing into my muscles! My surgery was less than 24 hours ago and I feel 95% better already!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You are the best Dr Cummings! ??

Dr. Cummings is the ultimate proffesinal, he takes the time to talk to you on a layman’s term where it’s easy to understand, he takes the least evasive option first than progresses from there, surgery being the last option. Wouldn’t want anyone else besides him re: orthopedic problems. He’s the BEST!!!!

Didn’t see Dr Cummings this time. His assistant came in and talked to me and then she went and consulted with Dr Cummings. She returned with what he felt should be done which was to return at a later date and see if the shoulder was healing as expected.

We have known Dr. Cummings for 10 years. He is the most caring doctor I have known. He repaired my husband's Rotator 7 years ago. I have been having problems with my shoulder and was scheduled to have my surgery 3 weeks ago. In April my husband was hospitalized and was diagnosed with Valley Fever. When Dr. Cummings nurse saw him she alerted Dr. Cummings. Dr. Cummings came in to me and said he couldn't do my surgery because my husband would not be able to care for me at home. I have found an in-home nurse who will assist me at home. I am scheduled to have my surgery on April 9th. Dr. Cummings is the greatest

Very impressed from the moment he walked into the room. He was so personable and explained everything thoroughly, making sure our daughter had all of her questions answered and understood her situation fully. Night and day from the other main ortho practice in town.

Very friendly, open and honest. The first person I saw couldnt help me or speak to my mri. (unsure why the appointment center would schedule me with someone that doesnt specialize in elbows) Glad he referred me to Dr. Cummings and he is from Pittsburgh! So I have full faith I will be back to normal in no time!
