This content was provided by Dr. Clemens "Dr. Clemens graduated from Concord High School in Wilmington, Delaware in 1973. He attended Brigham Young University in 1973. Served a two year mission to Germany and returned to BYU 1976-1980. He then went to graduate school at UMKC in 1981. He began medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, 1982-1986. His residency was at University of Missouri Kansas City in Family Practice from 1986-1989. During Medical school and residency he was in the US Army Reserve, where he was promoted to Captain. He became Board certified in Family Practice through the American Board of Family Medicine in 1989. He has remained board certified ever since, through three additional board certification exams. Dr. Clemens worked in rural North Carolina 1989-1991, including the US Public Health Service. He worked in private practice in Northwest Ohio, which also included time spent as faculty member at Medical College of Ohio, 1992 through 2003. Dr. Clemens relocated to Ogden, Utah in 2003 until the present. He was recruited by Ogden Regional Medical Center where he continued to mentor pre-medical students at Weber State University. He was asked by ORMC to be clinical director at their new Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Center in 2008. And has continued in that position. He is now board eligible in Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine. In 2016 Dr. Clemens ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Utah's first Congressional district. He has been married to Tammy Watkins Clemens for 38 years and has six children and seven grandchildren. His hobbies include mountain biking, road biking, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing with his wife and his daughter's Aussie shepherd, Mars. Dr Clemens happiest place on earth is in the Grand Tetons or in Utah's Red Rock hiking and biking."
