This content was provided by Dr. Bono "Dr. Bono completed his medical education in 1995 at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then completed an Osteopathic Orthopedic residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Bono completed an orthopedic spine fellowship at the New York Hospital-Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York City, NY, thereafter becoming board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 2005. Dr. Bono performs over 400 spine cases a year. He was elected one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the US by the Consumer Research Council, an independent voting agency, as listed in the "Guide to America's top Orthopedic Surgeons" in the year 2007 and one of the top doctors in Detroit by the Detroit Hour magazine in 2016. Dr. Bono became a clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2016. In addition to speaking English, Dr. Bono can fluently communicate in Sicilian and Italian. Dr. Bono joined the practice in 2002."
